How to eliminate cravings

The raw truth

Most addicts believe they are addicted to a specific substance. The sugar addict thinks his body is yearning for sugar. But in fact the opposite is true. What we’re actually longing for is that which was removed from the natural substance during it’s manufacturing process.

Refined products such as white sugar are isolated compounds. Isolated foods, which have had their holistic properties altered during the denaturalization process, cause the body to react by sending out messages to search for the extracted substances in order to metabolize the food. This is why whole, natural foods, in comparison to processed foods, are of cardinal importance for our health. Isolated and refined food products are essentially addictive.

Just a pinch of salt

I was recently asked a question about salt and if it is such a bad thing to add a pinch if you like to flavour your food. So, I’ll attempt to answer it as best I can.

Natural crystal salt

Natural crystal salt contains ALL natural elements. These are identical to the elements of which our bodies have been built and originally found existing in the ‘primal ocean’ from where all life originated. Regular table salt no longer has anything in common with the original crystal salt of which we’re talking about here. Salt nowadays is chemically cleaned and reduced to the combination of sodium and chloride. The body recognises this as an aggressive cellular poison, an unnatural substance, and wants to eliminate it as quickly as possible in order to protect itself. This causes a constant overburden on our organs of excretion.

Devastation in the body

In almost every preserved product, salt is used as part of the preservation process. So, by adding salt to the already-salted food, the body receives more salt than it can get rid of. The body now tries to isolate the over-dose of salt. In this process, water molecules surround the sodium chloride in order to ionize it into sodium and chloride to neutralize it. For this process, the water is taken from our cells as the body sacrifices its most perfectly structured cell water in order to neutralize sodium chloride. With this, the dehydrated body cells die.

While our body only requires the minute amount of 0.007 ounces of salt per day, most of us suffer from a lack of salt, even though we’re over-saturated with sodium chloride. When our consumption of salt is less than 0.007 ounces per day, salt cravings kick in.

So why is natural salt chemically processed?

The motive is pretty basic; about 93% of the worldwide salt production is more or less directly used for industrial purposes and for this, pure sodium chloride is required. The remaining, natural elements, are considered impurities and discarded as unwanted. About 7% of the salt production is used in the food industry for inexpensive preservation purposes. There is hardly a ready-to-eat or fast-food product that doesn’t contain sodium chloride, be it yoghurt, bread or ham. This has been a blessing to the logistics of the food industry because they have now been able to extend the shelf life of many of their products for up to one year. However, for the human body, this has been a fatal development.

But I use rock salt so it’s ok, right?

Unfortunately not, rock salt which is now commonly replacing table salt in the kitchen isn’t the answer either. Although it is a wholesome, natural substance, containing all or most of the natural elements on Earth, they are too coarse and unrefined to be absorbed into our cells.

How do we ensure we have the right salt that is so vital to life?

Pure, natural crystal salt has been subjected to enormous pressure over millions of years. The pressure is responsible for creating the salt crystals. The higher the amount of pressure the more superior the state of order within the crystalline structure. Salt, for us, is essentially an information carrier, not a spice! For information to be absorbed into our cells, a crystalline structure is necessary. The quartz crystal embodies a perfect geometric form, a perfect state of order within its structure. Crystal salt layers wind through the mountain of salt, shimmering in transparent white, pinkish or reddish veins. The elements trapped within the crystal salt are in particles small enough to be able to penetrate the human cells and be metabolized. And the bonus is, it re balances the body in any situation be it, too much alcohol, sugar, stress, whatever. What a miraculous discovery!
