Matcha green tea latte

image1This morning I made a Matcha green tea latte which tasted delicious! My kitten Binky wasn’t quite so impressed.

Matcha green tea powder is one of our top super foods which provide a host of benefits. It’s extremely high in antioxidants which mop up damage in the body.

It makes you feel calm, boosts memory and promotes better concentration whilst increasing alertness. I think that makes it much better than a jittery coffee!

Rich in chlorophyll, Matcha is a powerful detoxifier , capable of removing heavy metals and toxins from the body. It’s also nutrient dense, being particularly rich in potassium, vitamins A and C, iron, protein and calcium.

I made mine with 250ml unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 tsp raw honey and 1/4 tsp Matcha green tea powder (available from most health food shops), whisked it up and heated it in a saucepan.
